Our Approach
We begin with the belief that systems and organizations exist to serve people. When systems become stuck fresh thinking and innovative approaches help to re-frame the questions. This re-frame leads to inventive approaches and insights. The Chester Group’s cross- sector experience of revitalizing through creative collaboration has helped people and organizations work better, together.
More about Ann Peel
Ann Peel’s nine years of high impact as Director of the Institute at Havergal, enabled young women to learn and lead as ethical agents of change in an innovative environment. Ann will continue to share the power of innovation in education and sport, and to facilitate student engagement in the world.
Ann’s career centres on innovative approaches to systems change to unlock human potential, particularly the potential of young people. As a member of the Canadian track and field team, and a practicing lawyer, she founded the world’s first independent association of amateur athletes (now Athletes CAN). She then played a leading role in the foundation of Right to Play and the international movement to support the field of sport for development. Her experience in sport from the grassroots to high performance, law, non-profits, business and education mean that Ann incorporates diverse perspectives in her approach to challenges. Her 20+ years of experience has generated a wide network of connections and partners, the ability to build collaborative teams, to facilitate organizational change, to manage projects, and a commitment to continual creation.
Ann’s long term goal is to foster innovation in Canada and internationally to enable young people to lead and thrive in a complex world.
